Switching to solar power is easy to do, and every enrollment is basically a custom plan. Local climate, power regulations, your roof's shape, and your energy consumption need to be factored in when choosing a solar panel solution. Kosmos Solar will be with you every step of the way, from customizing a plan to the final installation. We won't stop until every little detail is just right.
Types of Solar Panels
There are many ways to get solar panel into your home or business. Here is some information about the most commonly used products and placements.
1. Monocrystalline Solar Panels - These panels are the highest in silicon purity, and they are also the most efficient choice. They convert about 20% of sunlight into usable energy. These solar panels have also been on the market longer than other types of panels, so they have been studied longer. They are a good choice if space is a concern. However, if you have a limited budget, there are more cost-efficient options.
2.Multicrystalline Solar Panels - These solar panels have a speckled blue appearance because of the multiple silicon crystals fused together to make them. They are cheaper than monocrystalline panels, but they are also a bit less efficient. Because of this, you need more of them to get the same energy conversion.
3. Thin Film Solar Panels - The least expensive and most convenient to install, thin film solar panels have a uniform black color, making them a good-looking choice. Because they convert less sunlight into energy, it typically takes more of these to power a house than available roof space allows. They are good for someone with a lot of land and smaller buildings to power.
4. Roof Installation and Ground Mount - You're probably used to seeing rooftop solar panels. Ground mounted solar panels are another option when you need more space or don't want to cut into your roof.
