Product Description

The MTSD and TTDS destoner is applied for efficient separation of stones and pebbles, glass, and other high-density matter from the stream of grain. The throughput capacity will vary as a function of the specific product and its degree of contamination: With soft wheat, a throughput up to 22 t/h can be achieved, with durum wheat up to 14.5 t/h, and with corn/maize up to 16.5 t/h. In addition to the grain varieties mentioned, the destoner is also used to process rye, rice,and soybeans.

The gravity-fed grain is spread by a feeder, which at the same time acts as an air seal, across the entire width of the machine. On the pre-separation screen, the product stream is stratified according to its specific gravity by the oscillating motion of the screen and by the air flowing through the product from bottom to top. The light particles collect at the top, and the heavy ones including the stones at the bottom. The lower layer with the heavy particles flows upward and is fed to the final separation zone of the bottom destoning screen. Final separation on the stones from the grain is accomplished by a counter-current of air. The stone free product streams on two screens that floats on cushion of air, flowing slowly toward the product outlet. Discharge is effected through rubber squeeze valves.

- With its high separating efficiency, the MTSD destoner is capable of efficiently separating even small and light weight pebbles with the size of a grain from the stream of product, thus ensuring optimal grain cleaning.
